    Split files is the simplest way to upload and share big files online. But there are many extensions for this type of files. This post will show you which software can join each type of these kind of files.


     1/ WinRAR (join and extract files *.part01, *.part02...; *.r01, *.r02...; *.zip, *.z01, *.z02 etc.)[Paid - Newest version is 3.90 - Homepage]: this is the most popular way to compress and split file. Just right click at any file, and choose Extract here or Extract to. You maybe asked for password to extract WinRAR files.

    2/ HJSplit (split and join *.001, *.002,...)[FREE - Newest version: 2.4 - Homepage]: this small tool work quite fast and stable and less errors. To join, you choose Join > Input File > and choose file *.001. If you don't select output,  joined file will be put in source folder. Then click Start to begin. This tool does not support password.


    3/ File Splitter and Joiner (join files *.001, *.002... and *.__a, *.__b...)[FREE - Newest version: 3.3 - Homepage]. To join, right click at file .001 or .__a, then choose Join. At next windows, you can select folder to store joined file, can check at Delete split parts after joining. Then click Join to start join file. You also need to input password is required.
